Why Sensory Play?
The goal of sensory play is to encourage independent and and imaginative play, using multiple senses to build nerve connections in the brain. Sensory play helps children learn about their world through hands-on play that engages their senses. The different types of filler provide experiences for children to explore different types of textures. Sensory play helps to promote development in language and cognitive development, fine motor skills, pre-math skills, and life skills (pouring/scooping)! Your child will enjoy discovering the endless possibilities with their Sensory Gems kits and bins.

Sensory Bins
Sensory bins are fun, but also encourage cognitive development through stimulating hands-on experiences. Any sensory kit can be added to a sensory bin or sensory table. Sensory kits can be used to help children with letter, number, shape and/or color recognition. They can also be used to learn about different themes, such as habitats or life cycles. Sensory bins can also be created to celebrate a birthday or holiday. The possibilities are endless!

Sensory Sand Kits
These adorable sand kits are great for party favors, stocking stuffers, or class gifts. Children will love having their own sand kit to explore. These containers come with different types of sand. We use mostly kinetic and slimy sand. Then we add theme inspired accessories and gems to complete the kit. Children explore the sand and accessories at the table. When they are finished they have a storage container to store the kit. Sand kits promote fine motor skills, creative play and encourage independent play.
